Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American actor-producer and stage actress is well-known for her role in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue is an American actress also known as producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. She began her acting career with theater, and was later featured in several TV shows and independent as well as mainstream films. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she won critical acclaim as well as various nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. Her debut on stage in the role of Ariel as Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In her film career, she is most well-known for her performances in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. The role she played as a regular on the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
